Emerald Automaton

Here we have a Stonehaven clockwork golem thing. I painted him as a Emerald Automaton for the Emerald Spire superdungeon. So far he has seen some good use, especially with season six of Pathfinder Society being a bit scifi-ish, he is now my stand-in 'robot' model.

Workbench upgrade

So I had a three week vacation and part of that was me expanding my workbench. I wanted to add some shelves and clean everything up. Oh and clean a spot for my upcoming airbrush (and compressor which is big, heavy and hums.

So here is where I started. The paint was moved from the paintracks down to the desk itself, but kind of messy regardless.

So then I added shelves and reorganized things. This is the result.

Top shelf (left to right)
- iPad space
- In the back all kinds of paints, putties, etc.
- In the front current projects
- On the right flocks, superglue, toothpicks
- Jars of brushes, knifes, greenstuff, brush soap and files.

Box on the left of the paintrack is odds and ends. In front of the box is excess paints (that I have more then one of).

Then there is the paint rack. Left rack is just washes. Racks to the right are model color, game color, GW in that order.

Finally a daylight lamp and a cutting mat.

Not in the picture: Water and palette.

Lorien Dawnlighter and Owlarbear

Here we have a quick paintjob for my girlfriend's newest player character. She comes with a snowy owlbear (owlarbear?). The woman is Lorien Dawnlighter by Reaper miniatures, the owlbear is from Stonehaven miniatures.

I changed a few things about my snow recipe and applied that here as well. I am happy. :)

Gnome Priestess

Another Stonehaven gnome, the priestess. She isn't my best, but remember that these are incredibly small. This will do! :)

Wulfric (modded Kord the Destroyer)

Here is Wulfric, son of Magda of Trollheim (and a bunch more titles like goblin bane and drinker of tea) my fighter (with one level of barbarian for the speed). I modded a Kord the Destroyer Bones miniature. I changed the position of the arms, removed his weapons, added Wulfric's double headed orc waraxe and filled his other fist with a recent decapitation victim.

The weapon is made out of 4 different bits from my bitbox. A chaos warrior axe, a tomb kings banner bearer staff and two bits from a dark elf polearm unit. I sculpted a extension of the cloak to cover the new position of the arm and I gave the skull a bit of hair as well.

I also experimented with non metallic metal by using a 'washes only' recipe I found online and adapted to this model. The metal parts are five washes only. It works really well on the smaller parts, less so on the weapon, but still awesome.

The snow is also a new recipe of mixing snow flock with parts of woodglue and water. It looks quite real and is very solid. I also added a bit of 'Blood for the Blood God' to his weapon and the snow.

Overall I am very pleased.

Lady Eliza Farrow

So my girlfriend asked me to paint this mini for her. She wanted white tips on red hair to emulate the feeling of a kitsune in human form. The rest was mine to paint. :) Goody.

I did not know what the mini was from at first, turns out it is from Descent 1st edition. A lieutenant called Lady Eliza Farrow (yes she is evil and she is actually drinking blood).
